Have you ever stopped to think about what it would be like to really win big?  I mean really big.  Life-changing, multimillion dollar, never have to work a day for the rest of your life BIG.

What would it be like?  What would change about your life?  About you?  Would you share, or keep it to yourself?  Would you bless others, or would you want to rub some people’s noses in it?  What would happen?

Most of us will never know that feeling, at least not monetarily.  But today we are going to look at someone who really won it big.  Before he knew what happened this man’s life was completely changed.  He went from obscure poverty to great wealth, a place in the king’s court, and a reserved seat at the king’s table any time he wanted it.  In the blink of an eye he went from hopelessness to almost limitless possibilities.  No more hiding, no more shame, no more being held back by the past.  Mephibosheth had the whole world ahead of him because David searched for him and lifted him from brokenness to complete restoration.   In doing so he not only gives us an amazing story of kindness and love, but he also paints a beautiful picture for us of what God’s love and grace have done for us.
